Currently Playing Alien V/s Predator 2 for 2 reasons,it gives a nice release to me from playing Diablo2 and also if i try to run any game post Farcry on it my comp will display a Gag reflex better than Asia Carrera slurping Peter North,So Alien Versus Predator (or AvP ) is what I`m playing.

What has this got to do with today`s blog? well lately I`ve noticed a rising unrest in Mumbai ,People of two different ethnic groups seem hell bent on fucking each other`s shit up,if it isn`t the cursing on the roads its the semi violent brawls that erupt in trains,i`m referring of course to the North Indian v/s sons of the soil debate triggered by more than one Thackeray.

I was an amused witness to this the other day when a proud son of the soil found himself seated next to one of the North Indians while traveling by train to office.Now what exactly triggered the argument and who exactly started the argument is a mystery to me since i was busy hoping that the thing poking into my glutes was some guys umbrella.

It pays to be a slum dweller

Read THIS article and I just realised wthat i`ll never be able to buy a flat in the city i love any time soon. For those who don`t know,Ive been searching for a flat of my own for the last few months, but with real estate prices sky high,bank loans being expensive and my salary being what it is I decided to keep this purchase pending (PS3 here I come),besides that Jains and gujaratis deciding that they only wat their “Own” kind around them have severly reduced the number of flats in the city ,but that is a rant for another blog post.

Meanwhile politicians are falling all over themselves trying to give free flats to slum dwellers who go right ahead and sell the flats for a neat profit and return to set up slums either where they were earlier or some other location,they do this secure in the knowledge that eventually the cut off date for “regularising” slums will get extended perhaps enabling them to get another house free some day.
